Contractual production in agriculture is production that is carried out according to a contract between those who produce and those who declare that they will purchase the products. The parties to the contract are farmers or producer organizations who are real or legal persons and the buyers who will purchase these products.
The purpose of contract production is to regulate the procedures and principles to be applied for the development and dissemination of agricultural production contracts.
The basic provisions regarding contract production are included in the Agricultural Law No. 5488, and the procedures and principles regarding contract production are determined in detail in the Regulation on Procedures and Principles Regarding Contract Production.
